An iconic Arabic spice blend of fragrant thyme, toasted sesame seeds, and zesty sumac. A Palestinian zaatar blend made by Palestinians for everyone ♥️
From the same shop my great-grandfather would buy from. Even though our signature tins state 2oz, each tin actually contains 2.5oz of our blend – a little extra just for you!
With every purchase, Hayati donates a portion of all proceeds to help provide relief for millions of displaced Arabs and others in need.

As Hayati is a small, new business, please allow a few days to process your order. Orders are generally shipped within 2-4 days using USPS Ground Advantage and Priority Mail.
At this time, we do not ship outside of the domestic US, but have big plans to go global in the future :)
GROWN IN PALESTINE
GROWN IN PALESTINE
Grown in Palestine, blended in Jordan by the same Palestinian family my great-grandfather would buy from. It's an honor to work with them.
INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
Full ingredients: Sesame seeds, thyme, olive oil, sumac, and sea salt.
Gluten: While our zaatar blend does not contain wheat, it is processed in a facility that handles wheat and may contain trace amounts of wheat. If you have a severe allergy to wheat, we recommend avoiding the zaatar for your safety and health!
Organic: Our zaatar isn’t certified organic—not because it isn’t grown that way, but because certification is costly and often unnecessary in the Middle East. Our farmers use traditional, chemical-free methods passed down for generations, and we lab test every batch to ensure the highest quality!
NO FILLERS OR NASTIES
NO FILLERS OR NASTIES
I wanted to create the best green zaatar on the market—and I believe I did. Most green zaatar blends cut corners: they bulk it up with wheat to make it cheaper and fluffier, and use citric acid instead of real sumac for that lemony flavor.
Hayati’s green zaatar contains no wheat, just thyme from Palestine. The tanginess comes from real, finely ground sumac—never citric acid. I use sea salt instead of iodized salt, and olive oil instead of canola or seed oils.
Every ingredient was chosen for flavor and quality. We're showing off the beauty of the Arab world, after all.

INTRODUCING: MANAKEESH WITH ZAATAR
Zaatar manakeesh is bread with zaatar and olive oil baked on top. The dish that started it all for me.
We've been using zaatar this way for centuries, and it's about time you know more about it.

STEP 1: MIX ZAATAR & OLIVE OIL
Mix zaatar and olive oil together until you have a runny paste. One spoon of each for one bread the size of your hand.

STEP 2: SPREAD ON BREAD
Spread paste on your favorite bread, like naan, pita, or lavash. My family’s favorite is naan bread.

STEP 3: QUICKLY BROIL!
Broil for 1-2 min until golden. Don't leave the oven's side here, trust me.

SAHTEIN, ENJOY!
Enjoy for breakfast with tea and loved ones. Often paired with labneh and chili paste, as my family does.
